Yes, we accept phones that are locked on a network. Just make sure to let us know what network it’s on when doing a TechCheck.
However, it might affect the price that we would be offering to you.
If you would like to unlock your phone and get more money for it, there are a few very easy ways to do it.
The easiest one is by contacting your network provider and asking them to unlock it for you. This service is available for free for almost any network carrier.
You will need to know your IMEI number before proceeding. If you don't know it - there's a very easy way to find out. All you need to is - open your dialer, and press *#06# and your IMEI number will appear on the screen.
How to contact each network provider:
Three - hasn’t been locking phones since 2013, but if you bought your phone before that, they will unlock it for you after you filled in their Unlock form
EE -Unlock form
Vodafone - all of the phones that Vodafone sell are locked, if you bought it since 2013. If you need to get it unlocked, use their Unlock form
O2 - with and exception of Doro and Alcatel devices, all phones sold by O2 have been sold unlocked since February 2019, and all Apple phones have been sold unlocked since August 1st, 2018. If you bought a phone before then, call 202 from O2 phone and they will unlock it for you
BT mobile - locks select handsets. You can find a full list here. If you need to get your BT mobile device unlocked, call 150 from BT phone
VOXI - once you had their phone for 30 days and you want to sell it or use a different sim card, you will need to get it unlocked, by using their Unlock form
Tesco mobile - Unlock form
Virgin mobile - call 789 from virgin phone
GifGaff, SkyMobile, LycaMobile, ASDA mobile - phones are not locked on a network
Another way to do it is by purchasing an unlock code or visiting a phone repair shop.
